Paper developer FiftyThree launches its Pencil iPad stylus in UK, France and Germany
July 16, 2014
Pencil by FiftyThree has just gone transatlantic.
Pencil is the official companion Bluetooth-powered stylus to FiftyThree's acclaimed freemium iPad drawing app, Paper. The accessory comes with easy pairing, palm rejection, flip-to-erase, and a unique Blend mode for its core features. Take a look at its rather well-crafted promo video:

The device was introduced in November last year and initially made available in the U.S. and Canada only. But now, as reported by Engadget, Pencil has been launched across the pond in the U.K., France, and Germany, where it's priced at £50 for its Graphite model and £65 for its Walnut version — a bit more expensive than in North America, where the former costs $60 (£35) and the latter $75 (£44).
Pencil is available through FiftyThree's online store and Amazon.
As announced by FiftyThree a month ago, Pencil is set to be updated with Surface Pressure with the launch of iOS 8 this fall. Surface Pressure is touted by FiftyThree as an "industry first" feature that varies the appearance of lines according to how Pencil is held while drawing. Check out the feature in action in the video below:
