Microsoft has updated Skype for iPhone with the move to version 5.13.

The major improvement in the app, rolling out over the next several weeks, allows users to view Web link previews during a chat. That will allow you to see more about what is being shared before opening up a link.

Apple Watch users can now also mark all conversations as read using the Force Touch technology of the device.

Here’s an interactive preview of the watch app courtesy of our sister site WatchAware.

Using an Apple Watch, you can use the voice dictation feature to send a full reply. It also supports a number of canned responses and other emoticons. It’s also quick and easy to start a chat with a favorite contact from your wrist.

Watch users can also be notified of incoming calls and select whether to answer on their iPhone via Handoff or decline.

Skype for iPhone can be downloaded on the App Store now for free. A separate iPad/iPad mini app is also available to download for free.
