15 iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Cases You Can Buy Now
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are here. Apple unveiled both of the new handsets at a special media event earlier this week. Preorders kicked off early this morning, and they will officially arrive in one week on Friday, Sept. 17. And since most users always want to protect their expensive iPhone with a case, here are 15 different models you can purchase right now.

Speck
Presidio Clear: Perfect for the jet black version of the iPhone, the pictured Presidio Clear is a slim, dual-layer case that shows off your iPhone. Its dual-layer design has been drop tested from a height of 10 feet and is 20 percent less bulky than previous cases from the company. The raised bezel on the front part of the case protect the screen from scratches and while lying flat.
The iPhone 7 version is $39.95, while the Plus edition is $5 more.
Presidio Grip: An updated version of Speck’s popular case choice, the Grip offers a no-slip texture on the rear of the case. The material is scratch resistant. You can select from one of six different color options – black, gray, pink, blue, purple and white. Both an iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus version are available for $39.95 and $44.95 respectively.
Presidio: The headlining case of Speck’s new line, the Presidio offers great protection in a slim package. There are six unique colors available – black, gray, teal, orange purple and white. The case is available for both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus for the same price as Speck’s other Presidio options.
X-Doria
Defense Shield: Featuring a machined aluminum exterior frame, the pictured Defense Shield offers both a hard exterior shell and soft interior lining. No tools or screws are required as the case simply slips over the handset. It is also designed to protect an iPhone from a 6.6-foot droop onto concrete.
Both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus versions are $29.99. You can select from a space gray, silver, gold, and rose gold version of the case.
ClearVue: An inexpensive thin case, ClearVue is made with hard polycarbonate shell surrounded by a softer bumper. A raised front lip protects the screen. The case for both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are just $9.99. You can select from a completely clear version, or a case with a rose gold or gray bumper.
Defense 360 Glass: Along with a slim, clear case, the case includes a tempered glass screen protector. The iPhone 7 combo is $14.99 while the version for the larger handset costs $5 more.
Revel: Just for the iPhone 7, the Revel is a thin case featuring fashionable graphics. The hard outer shell is designed to protect against impact while the soft bumper protects the phone’s buttons. Eight different designs are $22.99 each.
Engage Folio: A nice folio option, the back of this case is clear to show off the handset’s design. On the interior of the front cover, there is room for a driver’s license and credit card.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus version are both $18.99. You can select from a black, pink, white, and faux carbon fiber version.
Spigen
Rugged Armor: Spigen is well known for its reasonably priced iPhone cases, the Rugged Armor is one of the best in the company’s arsenal. Along with carbon fiber textures, the exterior features glossy black material. Special air cushion technology protects against drops and bumps. The iPhone 7 version is $10.99, while $1 more can buy the case for the larger handset.
Ultra Hybrid S: This pictured slim case comes with a handy twist – an integrated metal kickstand.
The iPhone 7 version is $12.99 while iPhone 7 Plus owners can grab one for just $1 more. There are two different options to choose from, a completely clear version or a matte black case.
OtterBox
Defender Series: The company’s most well-know case option, three distinct layers can provide some rugged protection for any iPhone. Four colors are available to order now with others planned soon. The iPhone 7 case is $49.99 while the 7 Plus version is $10 more.
Symmetry Series: Providing a nice middle ground, the pictured Symmetry series is a one-piece case that easily slips onto your handset while still providing protection from drops and scratches.
You can select from one of six different colors to protect an iPhone 7. Each is $39.95. Any iPhone 7 Plus users can purchase one of four different color options for $49.95.
Apple
Silicone Case: A slim fitting case made with soft silicone, the case also features a microfiber interior to protect the handset itself.
There are nine different colors to select from. The iPhone 7 case is $35 while the version for the larger handset is $4 more.
Leather Case: If you’re looking for a more luxurious material, this case is made with specially tanned and finished leather from Europe. It should also develop a unique patina with use. The machined aluminum buttons match the look of the of the case. The iPhone 7 Plus version is $49, while anyone with an iPhone 7 can snag one for $4 less.
You can select from one of seven different color options.
Smart Battery Case: Only available for the smaller iPhone 7 model, the Smart Battery Case can provide up to an extra 26 hours of talk time and 22 hours of Internet surfing on LTE networks. The inner part of the case is covered with a soft microfiber lining while the exterior is made with easy-to-hold silicone. Unlike other battery cases, Apple’s version can be charged with a Lightning cable. You can also view the battery status on the lock screen and in the Notification Center.
