Apple TV 4K May Feature a Revamped Siri Remote with Haptic Feedback
Expected to be unveiled during a special media event tomorrow Tuesday, Sept. 12, the Apple TV 4K will apparently feature a revamped Siri Remote. That’s according to new information gleaned from new tvOS 11 firmware found by 9to5Mac.
Here’s more from the report:
The model version jumps from B239 to B429 and has its own firmware separate from the current Siri Remote, although it’s unclear if this means a desired design refresh or just an internal change.
But developer Guilherme Rambo reported on Twitter that the remote may have some type of haptic feedback.

The Siri Remote for the current Apple TV never been a favorite of most users. Adding some type of haptic feedback, like found on other Apple products like the Force Touch trackpad, would be a welcomed addition.
Apparently named Apple TV 4K, the streaming video device will also support HDR content.
