Inexpensive Streaming Service Philo Lands on Apple TV This Summer
Flying in under the radar late last year, Philo is a low-cost TV streaming service that focuses only on entertainment channels. For $16 a month, users can access 37 different popular options. And starting this summer, the service will be available on the Apple TV (via CNET.)
The channel lineup available for $16 per month.
The service, currently available on iOS devices, is able to keep costs down by not offering any live sports or news channels.
And along with that great news for Apple TV owners, Philo is now also offering another great feature for subscribers.
Philo will allow users to allow all the content on the specific network app. So instead of having to wait to view content on a network, it will be accessible through an app.
The only channel not currently available is the Oprah Winfrey Network, but that should be arriving soon.
You can find out more about Philo and sign up for the streaming service here. The app is available to download on the App Store for free. It’s compatible with the iPhone and all iPad models.
