Mophie, the popular battery pack maker acquired by Zagg in January, has just launched a new line of products for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

But they’re not to be dismissed as just another set of typical cases for Apple’s latest handsets. That’s because Mophie’s new line, called Hold Force, consists of modular cases with magnetic add-on accessories.

The key component of Mophie’s Hold Force system is a protective shell called the base case. It comes in two models: the single-color “grad” model and the “wrap” model, which has a differently colored band around the middle. More importantly, it’s equipped with magnetic plates hidden on the back, to which the user’s needed or preferred accessory may be conveniently attached.

The base case may be used on its own. But it becomes more useful when an add-on accessory is attached to its back through its built-in magnetic technology.

The attachment may be any one of three accessories. There’s the Hold Force Wallet, which features two pockets for cash and credit cards. There’s the Hold Force Folio, which features a flip cover in addition to three credit card pockets. And most notably, there’s the Hold Force PowerStation Plus Mini, which is a 4,000 mAh battery with an integrated switch-tip cable that connects to iPhone for quick recharging.

The Hold Force system is available now at Mophie’s official website and Best Buy. The base case, which comes in nine colors, goes for $39.95. The Hold Force Wallet and the Hold force Folio costs $19.95 each, and the Hold Force PowerStation Plus Mini costs $59.95.

Mophie’s Hold Force system looks to be a great solution. It provides a protective case at all times, and on top of that — or at the back of it, if you will — it allows for the use of an optional accessory, whenever needed or wanted.
