New Apple Products Starting to Sell Out, But Not iPhone 8
Want to pre-order a few new Apple products, but haven’t yet done so? Your delay might have cost you as some of these products are now sold out.
At 12:01 a.m. PDT today, Apple began accepting orders for the iPhone 8/8 Plus, Apple Watch Series 3, and Apple TV 4K. At the time of this writing, some new orders for these products are pushing past the Sept. 22 official launch date.
iPhone 8/8 Plus
The 4.7-inch iPhone 8 remains available for a Sept. 22 delivery date for all colorways and storage sizes at AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon. T-Mobile and SIM-free configurations, however, have begun to slip beyond this date.
Meanwhile, the 5.5-inch iPhone 8 Plus also remains available in most colorways and storage sizes, although there’s been some slippage. Silver remains the least popular color for now.
Apple TV 4K
The 64GB Apple TV 4K has slipped beyond the Sept. 22 delivery date in the United States. It’s now available in the “2-3 weeks” timeframe. The 32GB model remains available.
Apple Watch Series 3
Of all the new Apple products, the Apple Watch Series 3 is the one with the most supply constraints early on.
In the U.S., the Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) is sold out for all models. New orders for most of these are now showing a wait time of “4-5 weeks.”
The Apple Watch Series 3 GPS version, meanwhile, is also nearly sold out, although some models are available for Sept. 22.
iPhone X
As a reminder, the 5.8-inch iPhone X goes on sale on Friday, Oct. 27.
