Find Your Next Pair of Warby Parker Glasses With Your iPhone X Camera

November 9, 2017

Finding a new pair of Warby Parker glasses just got easier. The latest Glasses by Warby Parker app update unlocks a new tool that uses the iPhone X’s TrueDepth camera to help you find the perfect pair of glasses. Here’s how you do it.

Once you install the new Glasses by Warby Parker 1.8.6 update, select “Eyeglasses” from the main screen. Next, choose “Find your fit.”

On the next screen, a pop-up box will ask for permission to access your device’s camera. After clicking, “Get Started,” Warby Parker will take measurements of your face using the TrueDepth camera.

Note: You should take your current glasses off before measurement.

In seconds, Warby Parker will offer a list of recommended frames based on your face. You can use this information to begin a new Warby Parker order or begin adding frames to a Home Try-On kit.

As a long-time Warby Parker customer who just so happens to be the market for a new pair of glasses, I appreciate this tool. It will be interesting to see how the feature expands in future app updates.

The iPhone X officially launched on Nov. 3. In addition to featuring an all-new TruthDepth camera, the 5.8-inch handset includes an OLED display, Face ID for authentication, and more.
