About us and our business

NTV is a non-religious and politically independent, non-government-sponsored media company focused on education and education. Our programs are currently presented in Norwegian, Arabic, English, Tigrinya, Somali and Kurdish.

NTV is a TV channel, Radio channel and Bladet for minority groups living in Norway. It was established in March 2008 because there was a special need for a channel that could provide people with Arab backgrounds with necessary and relevant information. Over the years, a large proportion of people with an Arab background have arrived in Norway. These people have been distributed across different counties and municipalities in the country, and many of them run the risk of being isolated since they cannot speak the Norwegian language.

What is our purpose?

Our main goal is integration.

NTV wants to be a voice that binds minorities across municipal and county boundaries. We want to be available to all those in need of advice and information on socially relevant, legal and cultural issues. We want to reach out to every person and try to answer any questions they may have about Norwegian culture and society. In order to be as accessible as possible to our listeners abroad, we want to operate the channel 24 hours a day.

By providing such information in Arabic, we hope to be a player that helps people of Arab background find their way faster and integrate into Norwegian society. We will help to eliminate misunderstandings and prejudices between people of Norwegian and Arabic background. If people or groups of Arab backgrounds are left too long on the outside, prejudice and polarization arise, which in the worst case can end in radicalization.

Theme

The topics we cover on NTV include health, education, language, style, finances, welfare and family. We want to provide information and advice on immigrants' problems and help them understand Norwegian laws and regulations. We deal with Norwegian laws and regulations issued by the UDI, IOM, UNE, NAV and Norwegian Courts, Politia communicates it easily to asylum seekers from the first day they arrive in Norway until the day they receive a residence permit and become part of of Norwegian society.

Furthermore, our focus is on the problems that face minority groups in Norway and especially the social problems. At the same time, we convey the most important news that is of interest to asylum seekers and immigrants. Norway Voice Radio has, among other things, programs that are about taking care of children, family and society.

vision

In order to reach as many people as possible, we have planned to introduce programs in several languages. NTV shall be a low-threshold offer for the dissemination of ideas and issues between public authorities and those experiencing problems. The project will provide mutual assistance by facilitating communication between individuals and the public. Norway Voice Radio will be the link that will present the minority's problems to the public and at the same time inform the listeners about laws and rules, rights and obligations that apply in Norwegian society.

Economy

NTV receives no support per. today's date. The main source of income is equity and a loan from the bank.
