三水同鄉會劉本章學校創辦於一九七六年，是一間政府津貼，專為輕度智障學童提供免費教育的全日制特殊學校。學校現開設十五班，包括小學部六班：由小一至小六；中學部九班：由中一至中六，共可容納學生二百人。學校以發展「全人教育」為辦學宗旨，並以「知行力學」為校訓，貫徹實行為智障學童提供優質教育，著重均衡培養學生的德、智、體、群、美五育，讓他們發揮個人潛能，融入社會為社會服務。
