貳、 館方介紹
台灣第一座液化天然氣接收站
為因應國內自產天然氣之不足及配合國家能源多元化政策，台灣中油公司於民國73年開始籌建液化天然氣接收站，選定高雄市永安區為國內首座液化天然氣接收站廠址；並自印尼與馬來西亞等國進口液化天然氣，供應台灣西部地區工業、發電及民生所需。民國78年3月1日成立永安液化天然氣廠，民國79年3月31日正式啟用，開啟國內天然氣進口的新紀元；民國91年5月1日正式成立天然氣事業部，朝更專業的目標大步邁進!
