神木市图书馆位于县城内麟州街北段，第六小学旁边，建筑面积约1.2万平方米，总投资约8000万元，于2010年12月建成投运并免费对外开放，是陕西省面积最大的县级图书馆。图书馆设施设备完善，功能布局合理。现有藏书近30万册，中外文报刊800多种，光盘等电子读物近5000张，阅览座位1000多个。馆内设有图书借阅区，报刊阅览区，电子阅览区、视听文献区、珍贵文献阅览区、少儿借阅区、视障阅览区、幼儿活动区、办证处等16个服务场所。图书馆采用SIRSI UNICORN管理系统，采编、流通、办证和书目搜索等业务实现了自动化。
