■Development background

Research team headed by Kazuomi Sugamoto, Professor of Orthopedic Biomaterial Science and Orthopedics at Osaka University, developed for the first time in the world in 1998, the method to analyze three dimensional movements of live human joints through treatment processes of orthopedic diseases. In it, it was found that joints moved by human will moved differently from movements of anatomical bodies that were on conventional medical textbooks.

With 20-30 supporters for the study, and studying live humans for over 10 years, all joint conditions and movements were photographed using CT and MRI, and the still images were then analyzed using computer programming. This made possible the visualization of the whole body’s muscles, nerves, blood vessels, bones, and joints.
