App Store Description

Experienced travellers are aware of the many different plugs and sockets in use around the world. However, first-time travellers to foreign countries may only find out when confronted with the problem of trying to plug their razor or hair dryer into a socket with an unsuitable configuration, like pounding a square peg into a round hole.

Worldwide there are 14 main plug types (Plug Type A, Plug Type B, Plug Type C, Plug Type D, Plug Type E, Plug Type F, Plug Type G, Plug Type H, Plug Type I, Plug Type J, Plug Type K, Plug Type L, Plug Type M, Plug Type N).

With this problem in mind, we created the World Plugs App, which is informative and practical.

The App provides information on the plugs, voltage and frequencies used worldwide. Furthermore, compared with many other websites and applications providing rudimentary info about the plugs and simple illustrations, this App, alongside images, has 3D models and AR of the various plugs so the user can fully understand the shape of the plug.

The AR feature is very convenient for understanding which plug type you can use in the socket on your wall.

We also provide information about different Voltages (110V, 115V, 120V, 127V, 220V, 230V, 240V) and Frequencies (50Hz and 60Hz) used in different countries.

We are covering the information about plugs, voltages and frequencies used in 218 countries and territories.

The App has the feature of side-by-side comparison of countries, the plugs used there and voltages and frequencies.

You can compare plugs next to each other as images, 3D models or AR that can be rotated and zoomed in or out.

Please note that in the App, we cover the plugs of the appliances that travellers can carry with them on trips. However, the plugs for heavy machinery and stoves are not included.

We hope World Plugs App will help you navigate thru all the different plugs used worldwide and provide you with more pleasant and stress-free travelling.
