3DAgroAlert

3DAgro Alert is an indispensable tool for farmers of tree crops (Apples, Peaches, Cherries), who are active in the wider region of Central Macedonia, wishing to use Integrated Crop Management systems. In conjunction with a proprietary automated weather station network and weather radars, the application delivers custom made services in protection and management of crops.

The application:
• delivers a 5-day weather forecast for a specific area of interest (local community)
• contributes to the integrated crop protection from both extreme weather phenomena and plant pests
• supports the proper use of water for crop irrigation

By using this application farmers are able:

to schedule the cultivation program by receiving a tailor made 5-day weather forecast (temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and direction, precipitation) for the area of interest (at local community level). The above information is provided in form of interactive charts.
to receive specialized weather related warnings (eg frost, heatwave, untimely or heavy rainfall, strong winds), as well as instructions for appropriate actions in order to protect their crops.
to be timely informed about the occurrence of significant pests and diseases (eg apple codling moth, peach / cherry brown rot, Apple European red mite) and how to address them effectively reducing the use of plant protection products.
to save water through a proper program for crop irrigation
