Box Breathing is a powerful but simple breathing technique that can improve your focus while calming mind and body.
This technique is practiced by the NAVY SEALS and consists of 4 second rotations of inhaling, holding your breath, exhaling, holding your breath.
The breathing pattern is repeated for 4 minutes. 4 seconds for 4 minutes. A very simple and effective breathing exercise in a simple app.
AI Breath Tracking
For even more focus and better concentration during the exercise, this app features a breath tracking mode which requires AirPods.
AI will then listen through the microphone of your AirPods and guess every 0.5 seconds whether you're really breathing.
It's done real-time on your device and your breath won't be recorded.
Your breath will then have to match the current breathing phase. Otherwise the box will restart.
Please make sure to be in a quiet environment and avoid background noise. Breathe deeply, preferably through your nose. AI needs to hear your breath to make a guess.
Works best with AirPods Pro.
The AI in the app is actually only guess whether you're breathing or not. It can't tell apart Inhaling/Exhaling. So feel free to swap inhale/exhale and start with exhaling. It's all 4 seconds.
