App Store Description

If you have glasses and want to find out what your prescription is, have a go with our Prescription Checker. Scan your glasses using your phone and computer and, hey presto — we’ll tell you all the important numbers.

So, how does it work?

Using the app, sync your phone with your computer. Then, use your phone to scan the lenses of your glasses. After a few magical moves, we’ll identify your prescription values and save them to your online account. Use your newly-discovered prescription to go forth and shop new glasses — it’s that simple.

The Prescription Checker is handy for most single vision glasses wearers and means you don’t need to get an eye test before you find yourself some new specs. If you need to find out your Pupillary Distance (PD), you can also do that within the app. Best of all, it’s free of charge to use — hurray!

It’s easy to get started — you’ll need:

1) A laptop or desktop computer.
2) A smartphone.
3) The glasses you want to check.
4) A standard size magnetic card (like a credit card).

Sorry, but this tool isn’t suitable if you:

1) Have a prescription outside -6.00 and +3.00 dioptres, or a cylinder above -2.50.
2) Have a prescription in your glasses that is older than two years.
3) Have a Prism correction in your prescription.
4) Wear varifocal glasses.
5) Are outside the age range of 18 to 45.

Prescription Checker is currently available in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, but is only available in English (EN). More languages will be available in the near future.
