ACS Health Insurance Literacy

Health insurance can be complex and confusing. The American Cancer Society (ACS) wants to help patients understand how health insurance works, how to find a provider, when and where to get care, and how you can save money on your health care costs.

The ACS Insurance Health Literacy app is a tool for health care providers, patient navigators, health insurance navigators, and patients for education about the importance of getting insured and building relationships with medical providers, highlighting the benefits and importance of wellness visits (annual check-ups) and screening for many common cancers including breast, cervical and colorectal cancers. It will help you get the most out of your health care coverage.
