Adelaide Christmas Trail

The Adelaide Christmas Cracker trail App is a digital companion to the Adelaide Christmas Festival provided by the City of Adelaide Local Government.


The App is a gamified AR (Augmented Reality) experience to engage visitors to discover Adelaide’s Christmas story through a Christmas Activity Trail. The App integrates with on street physical markers that open AR experiences and family friendly content.

The activity trail will guide visitors along a safe, easy to access and navigate Christmas Cracker Trail through the Adelaide CBD and North Adelaide.

The App will include important information such as Festival activity timetables, ‘getting there’ information and safety messaging including ‘Being COVID Safe’ guidance. The App includes a map to assist in navigation as well show progress through the trail.

The experience will not require the user to visit all locations on the map and can be experienced from any starting point on the trail. The App will hold progress so that the user can progress through the experience at their own pace and level of engagement.
