Adsistor Scanner

by Pat Dolan

What is it about?

The adsistor scanner app makes your iPhone a valuable field tool for integrating sensors into the Industrial Internet of Things. The adsistor scanner app lets your iPhone read and write data to all five kinds of adsistor wireless industrial sensors: 1) gasoline vapor concentration, 2) VOC vapor concentration, 3) rotating seal leakage, 4) condensation & time-of-wetness, 5) corrosion coupons. The free version of the adsistor scanner app retains sensor data in your iPhone’s searchable, non-persistent storage. While the B2B version of the app sends all sensor data to iCloud for longterm storage and analysis by your maintenance personnel. In addition to sensor data the adsistor scanner app logs each sensor reading’s date-time & GPS coordinates. Field photos and field notes can also be stored for each sensor reading. Two user-writeable fields are provided for customized individual sensor identification. Each adsistor sensor has a user-selectable alarm threshold. An adsistor sensor transmits an alarm indication when its user-selectable alarm threshold is exceeded and also stores the total accumulated time that the sensor is in alarm. Sensors in alarm are displayed in red on the scanner screen for easy identification. The B2B scanner app can link to your website or any website of your choosing so as to provide the user additional part-specific information for each piece of equipment being monitored.
