She and her husband Prof. Munshi Shams had been working inpersonally and with other Islamic organizations to serve those needs. After working towards thatgoal for over 20 years, and painfully witnessing both the plight of the convert community and theisolation of the Muslim community from the mainstream society, they took the initiative toestablish the convert-care and outreach center, Al Ansar Society.Establishment History: Al Ansar Started its journey on May 01, 2019 when the location wasleased. Non-profit entity was formed on June 20, 2019.A Vision for Excellence: Al Ansar will strive to create the highest standard in helping andintegrating the converts to the wider Muslim community, building bridges between the Muslimand other faith groups and serving the most pressing needs of the local and global communities.
