App Store Description

AnthroCharts is an app that plots growth charts using public data from the CDC and WHO. Designed for ease of use, AnthroCharts not only makes plotting simple but also presents the growth charts on your device more beautifully than you’ve ever seen before.

It calculates and displays the percentiles or z-scores of the measurements you enter. Similar to the paper charts provided by these organizations and other health entities, AnthroCharts allows you to easily tap on the screen or manually enter measurements to instantly get the corresponding percentile or z-score.

The app includes high-resolution growth charts for Body Mass Index (BMI), Weight, Length/Height, and Head Circumference for both males and females, sourced from CDC and WHO data. When enabled, the app can also extend the charts to display more extreme values like in obesity. Also displays the curves for all the standard percentiles and z-scores but lets you hide the ones you don't want.

Since these measurements are age-dependent, AnthroCharts features a built-in age calculator. Additionally, for BMI plotting, it includes a calculator to determine BMI from weight and height. The app supports both metric units and imperial units (inches and pounds) for all charts and the BMI calculator.

Note that AnthroCharts uses freely available data sourced from the CDC and WHO. The CDC data is available for no charge on the agency website. The reference to specific commercial products, manufacturers, companies, or trademarks does not constitute its endorsement or recommendation by the U.S. Government, Department of Health and Human Services, or Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The World Health Organization (WHO) Charts are an adaptation of an original work: “WHO Child Growth Standards" from 2006 and "Growth reference data for 5-19 years" from 2007 available in the WHO website.
