Aponjon Koishor

‘Aponjon Koishor’ is a novel mobile app in Bangla for adolescents that helps create awareness among adolescent boys and girls about physical and mental changes that they go through as well as about adolescent reproductive health.
The app contains topic wise information on physical and mental changes adolescents commonly go through during the age, their interests and curiosities, how to deal with relationships with friends and family and other social issues, reproductive system, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV, thoughts before and after marriage, family planning, pregnancy, issues during pregnancy and after birth of the baby and many more.
The app gives the users the option to add the articles or answers in favorite list. Besides seeing the answers of the questions that other teens have asked, users can submit their own questions and curiosities too.
Adolescent users can use the app by keeping their profiles private. And for the parents, the app has option to register as parent and see what information their boys and girls are receiving through the app and at what age.
To use the app, users need to provide their mobile phone number, date of birth and type of user. The name field is optional, users can give any name here as they like. After registration, users will get a PIN code via SMS which will be required for signing in to the app.
