Boards entrust directors and the CEO or organization leader with significant authority and accountability for decisions. By-laws set out rules for informed and constructive decisions for all directors and within committees. But without secure and sophisticated online tools, there is risk that not all directors get the same information at the same time, with equal opportunity for comment, and consistent visibility to decisions made at and between board meetings. That’s not good governance.

Whether directors are volunteering or getting paid, or whether meetings happen in community halls or high-rise boardrooms, Aprio’s founders believed that tools for good governance should be simple and affordable for all.
