App Store Description

Where does astronomy come from, and how does the Universe work? Find out in the Audio Sky Tours app.

Built on foundations stretching back to humans' earliest scientific undertakings, and extending into recent astrophysics, we take you on a thrilling tour of the skies. On a dark night in the countryside, you may follow the narrative in natura. Elsewhere, our clear and easy-to-use screens are your guide.

Professional astronomers and amateurs alike have praised the clarity of explanation and exposition. The text is structured in five sequences, each one building on the knowledge imparted in the previous sections, and making the material easy to follow for learners and interested lay users alike. The UK’s Educational App Store certified the app at its top – five-star – level.

The freeware version contains observation hints, the entire first sequence and an overview of the following material – plenty for you to base a decision on if you want to invest in the full discovery and reference set. The full set costs very little, but eliminates advertising and is a great deal more convenient than an audio-book.

If you want to consolidate the information you hear, you may use the free work sheets supplied on the author's website. They are especially helpful if the app is used in classes.
