Australian PaSC Curriculum

This App serves as a portal for teachers to access and share curriculum resources promoting social and emotional well being for students in Years K - 12. All resources are linked to the Australian Curriculum under General Capabilities, specifically Personal and Social Capability.

The App provides a Personal and Social Capability Curriculum Map of resources for teaching staff to support students in schools in various settings i.e. individual one to one, a small group and in a classroom setting.

Topics can be taught sequentially in consecutive dedicated weekly session i.e. topics 1- 40 or topics can be selected and taught based on a student’s immediate needs.

Content is broken up into four elements: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and social management. One element is covered each term and consists of 10 topics. These topics are covered over the ten week period with activities provided for all year levels. The year levels range from 1a/b (ACARA) (typically kindergarten/Pre Primary: SCSA) to level 6 (ACARA) (typically year 10: SCSA).

Users have the ability to access the Personal and Social Capabilities Curriculum via the Australian Curriculum with the opportunity to add content using their specific school focus. Users (schools or individual teachers) choosing to ‘add content’ have the option of indicating whether they want to share their content publicly or remain private. If a school selects private, only their staff provided with their unique login, will be able to view that content. Resources that are added publicly can be viewed by every user and can help provide valuable support to others within the community.
