App Store Description

Welcome to our
to our multilingual BÜCHERBRÜCKEN-APP. It contains simple German children's book texts in words, pictures and sound and is designed to make it easier for children with a different mother tongue to learn German. It is very easy to use and can be downloaded free of charge to all common mobile phones.
We developed it in spring 2022. Under the impression of the many children who came to us from Ukraine, we initially focussed on their languages (Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, English).

Our dream is to expand this small "children's library in your pocket" to include other languages and texts by different authors. For this we need sponsors and helpers! We also need writers, authors and publishers to provide us with free licences for this non-profit project.
We would like to continue to offer the app to primary school children and their families free of charge.
The Ukrainian texts were largely translated by a Ukrainian children's book author. This means that Ukrainian families who have not brought any books with them can read to their children in their native language.

Questions about the age range:
The texts are mainly picture book texts and texts for first-time readers that have been published by well-known German and foreign publishers. Ideal for children to read by themselves from 2nd - 4th grade. The picture book texts in particular can be read aloud to KITA children. As in the bookshop, the illustrations are a good guide for the selection. The traffic light points green-yellow-red (from easy to difficult) are only a non-binding indication for readers.
Tip: If the child wants to hear the story again, then you have made the right choice!
