BabyShapes has been specially developed for new babies from birth. Adapted from the hugely successful books, the images are very interesting to babies, even if they seem simple to adults.
The patterns in this second app are more complex and introduce positive and negative images (black/white and white/black) which new babies find fascinating.
Lower the brightness and if baby tries to turn away, now might not be the best moment, so try later.
Babies' vision is quite blurred for the first few weeks so strong contrasting shapes are the best. Take care to see how baby responds to the images. New babies are all different, they can tire easily, but will still have favourites. Enjoy discovering which your babies likes with this great series of apps.
