This will allow us to examine symptom variability and geographic factors. Data are transmitted anonymously and stored on a secure university server. If out of range, responses are temporarily stored in devices when out of WiFi or LTE range.
The BADAS study will enable clinicians and researchers gain better understanding the health and well-being of persons with bipolar disorder. Participation in the study is entirely voluntary. Cohabiting partners of study participants are invited to take part in BADAS Connect
Participants receive $1 each day after submitting prompted EMS questionnaires and $20 for completing monthly online questionnaires. Participants need to have a PayPal account (or can be donated to charity).
If you have BD I or II, an iPhone (or iPad), and would like to take part in the BADAS Study, please register at: link to BADAS registration
Confidentiality of data is strictly maintained within the limits of the law. A unique identification number is assigned to each participant. Study data are stored at IRMACS Centre at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby (BC) Canada.
