The application is developed for the Battle of Batina Memorial museum. Multimedia formats, VR and AR modules are implemented to provide more immersive content of museum.

The Battle of Batina Memorial museum is devoted to the dramatic events of the Battle of Batina. The battle was fought by joint forces of the 3rd Ukrainian front of the Soviet Red Army, lead by Marshall Tolbuhin, and the partisans of the 51 Vojvodina forward division, under command of colonel Sreta Savić Kolja.

The memorial museum sits on the Duck’s beak location, on the initial position of the armies when they were crossing the Danube. It was opened on 14 November 1981 as part of a memorial complex that also comprised of the bridge across the Danube - the 51st Division Bridge, and the Victory or Julka monument on the Batina side of the Danube, work of a famous Yugoslav sculptor Antun Augustinčić from 1947. The museum was designed by architect Miša Berbakov and the permanent exhibition was set up by Jovan Kirjaković, curator of the Museum of socialist revolution from Novi Sad.

The museum successfully worked between 1981 and 1991, when it was closed for visitors due to the war in the immediate surroundings. Up until 2017 it was exposed to the elements and devastated.

On the occasion of the 73 anniversary of the Battle of Batina, the museum was refurbished and reopened by joint funds of the provincial government of Vojvodina and the City of Sombor. The new permanent exhibition was designed by custodians of the Town Museum Sombor and Museum of Vojvodina. It functions as a department of the Town Museum Sombor.
