Our Story Begins With Friends:
A couple of Louisiana bred friends with a passion for quality, crafted Cajun cuisine and a food truck budget embarked on a ride towards their dream. Meet Chef Aaron 'Peanut' Hanning and Beau Hays, two friends of over 14 years, who took their shared occupation in the restaurant industry to a wild ride of a restaurant on wheels.

"We wanted more control to be able to hear what people say and make the decision to give them what they want without having to go up the corporate chain for permission."

In 2015 these two friends purchased a 1959 food truck and before they knew it the new friends they made along the way have grown their new business into a full blown catering company, equipped to service any sized event.

Our Home Is Your Home:
In 2015 BeauxJax opened a kitchen on Lakeshore Dr. near Ford Park and the public boat launch to Cross Lake. What began as a kitchen of necessity to support our growing food truck quickly became a fixed location where BeauxJax followers could find our food daily and catering tastings and consultations could happen.

In 2016 BeauxJax expanded services from this Cross Lake location to include crawfish. Wildly successful, crawfish proves to be a favorite seasonally in the Cross Lake and surrounding areas.

In 2017 BeauxJax began delivering from this location through two different companies found locally. Waitr App and iHeart Deliveries have both proved to be effective ways to deliver what our customers desire.

BeauxJax on Cross Lake is a humble 30 seat bistro, that radiates the feeling found in a "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant on so many streets in New Orleans. We love it this way. As our home base of all BeauxJax operations you are bound to catch a story or three about where we have been or where we are going in the day. Beyond great food, you can expect a firm hand shake and great company.
