Carina and her family came to the USA in 2015 after a worldwide journey of more than one decade. Her Belgian husband Weren and she have a son, Adrian (age 7). They made friends all around the globe for whom Carina has been cooking Argentine empanadas and hosting private empanada parties seasoned with tango shows.

People loved her grandmother's recipes and asked her to prepare dozens of them for their especial occasions. This is how Besties Empanadas was born, from the friendly sharing of this subtle taste of tango.
