Almost 500 full-color illustrations depict every species, and color distribution maps provide breeding and wintering ranges for every species. Wing pattern photos are included for every species.

A key feature is the Field Note Editor, which allows you to record bird sightings and store/backup this data to an external server from which the data can be restored or installed on another device. Also included: exchange your field notes via Bluetooth with other users (or other iOS devices) running the same app.
