BirdSpot (Aves Development)

BirdSpot allows you to report observations of species with fast and accurate information that is shared with all other birders. BirdSpot contains a database of all existing species seen in Denmark, but also other possible species so that you can quickly and easily report if you spot them. Observations generally always contain information about the species, time, geo-location, behavior and number. In addition, it is possible to add details such as pictures, sound and notes. Observations can also be commented on so it is easy to help others with important details about the observation or, for example, parking. All this for free. Premium access gives access to detailed filtering and notifications. You can set up filters for regions together with rarities, so that you are, for example, notified of observations of species exclusively in North Jutland of a certain rarity. You can also set up a filter for any point such as Skagen and a radius of 20 km. All filters can be combined and you will be notified as long as an observation matches one or more filters. This way, you can get notifications for the observations you are interested in. As a Premium user, you will also be notified if other users comment on your observations, or if others comment on an observation you have commented on. This way, you will not miss important information or if others have questions about your information. BirdSpot also offers an easy way to maintain lists. As a starting point, you as a user get a list for Denmark that you can make public if you wish, where you can indicate the species you have seen in Denmark. As a Premium user, you can add more lists, and you can share ownership of these other lists with others if you wish.
