The Braid name has been synonymous with quality mens and ladies hairdressing in the UK for over 40 years. Phillip Braid opened our first Birmingham store in 1970, before being approached in 1979 to launch the first unisex salon in the newly developed Milton Keynes Shopping Centre. Offering a wide range of hair, beauty and solarium services, he built up one of the biggest and busiest salons in the country with over 60 staff. After the success of our Milton Keynes salon, Phillip then opened our first London store on the exclusive Bond Street in 1981.

Phillip's sons Robert and David now carry on their father's tradition, but with a modern, more contemporary twist. The brothers opened their first barbers in Banbury in 2003, before opening a second store in Leamington Spa in 2007. The flagship unisex store in Milton Keynes is still going strong after 36 years, and has recently moved to an exciting new location within the shopping centre that promises to really set the standard in the UK.
