Brain Balance with Sara Bellum Lite is an app in Morphonix’s NeuroPlay Adventures series: mobile apps, stories and songs that introduce children to the workings of the brain in a fun and engaging way. Although designed for kids 5-8, all ages will enjoy Brain Balance with Sara Bellum.
The free Lite version offers the first, easy level of the full game. It has five rounds with hundreds of possible block combinations. The blocks change each time you play, so the level can be played over and over with many variations.
The free Lite version also includes the song “Cerebellum Helps You Move and Go” in the Did You Know section. Sara explains some of the things your Cerebellum helps you do, from skateboarding to balancing on a beam to tying your shoes.
FUN
Sara Bellum flies in on her trapeze to guide you through the game. You stack blocks of different shapes on a plank, choosing where to place a shape and how each new shape changes the balance of your stack. The blocks obey the laws of physics and gravity, giving the game a vividly realistic feel – especially when the blocks tumble.
When you stack all the blocks in a round, Sara performs a high-flying trick!
LEARNING
Children come to understand the working of their Cerebellum experientially by playing the game. They use their Cerebellum to place and balance the blocks. Most importantly, children learn to nurture and protect their brain because it’s the only one they’ve got!
FULL VERSION
The Full version of Brain Balance with Sara Bellum offers three levels, plus the Did You Know bonus song. You get to build taller and more rewarding towers. There are twenty total shapes, including irregular shapes that increase the challenge of fitting together and balancing the blocks. Playing the game again is always new and fun because there are thousands of potential combinations.

“Morphonix approaches learning about the brain so subtly and invitingly, the players don’t even recognize the are being taught. Better yet, they seem to remember the details of what they have been through.”
