Our story began over the summer of 2010 when Partner/GM Craig Marr sat on the beach in Misquamicut wondering why no one was serving fresh fish tacos to the beach crowd. Thus began Craig's quest to find a location where he could serve fish tacos and other casual fare. When Craig found a location near the Charlestown Breachway he reached out to long time friends Bob and Rick Harris to see if they would be interested in joining him. Thankfully they enthusiastically embraced the idea and began working together with Craig to create The Breachway Grill. Soon after they took over the space and began remodeling the decision was made to add a pizza oven to introduce real NY style, thin crust pizza, another element they felt was missing from the area. From there they realized they actually had a full restaurant in the making and it was an easy decision to expand the menu to include other fresh seafood, sandwiches, steaks and chops, all with the emphisis on locally sourced foods whenever possible. As the menu and space began to take shape it became apparent that this was going to be more than a seasonal business. The partners felt that The Breachway Grill would be a great addition to the Charlestown community on a year-round basis and dedicated themselves to providing a warm and friendly atmosphere serving great food at a reasonable price with the hope that Charlestown residents and other nearby locals will come to think of TBG as a place they can call their own.
