App Store Description

Brinell hardness is a measure of the hardness of a material. Measured by brinell hardness tester. It was first proposed by the Swede j.a.brinell, so it is called brinell hardness [1].
A quenched steel ball with diameter D is pressed into the surface of the metal material under test with a certain load P, which is maintained for a period of time before the load is discharged. The ratio of load P to indentation surface area F is brinell hardness value, which is denoted as HB.
Brinell hardness (HB) is generally used when materials are soft, such as nonferrous metals, steel before heat treatment or after annealing.
Brinell hardness (HB) is a certain size of test load, a certain diameter of hardened steel ball or hard alloy ball is pressed into the metal surface under test, maintain the specified time, and then unloading, measuring the indentation diameter of the surface under test.
Brinell hardness is the quotient of load divided by the surface area of the indentation sphere. Generally as follows:
The brinell hardness value is the ratio of the load to the indentation area of a quenched steel ball pressed into the material surface under a certain load for a certain period of time
