C4A Conference 2024

Join us for the 2022 C4A Conference! A time to gather, hear from top leaders in the field of aging, disability and diversity and share promising practices with your peers.

The California Association of Area Agencies on Aging (C4A) is a nonprofit organization representing California’s 33 area agencies on aging and is the leading voice on aging issues in California. C4A works closely with the Administration on Aging, the California Department of Aging, Department of Social Services, Department of Rehabilitation as well as key provider associations. C4A and its members provide programs that enable older Californians to live independently as long as possible.

Of the 33 area agencies on aging, 19 agencies are part of a county structure and typically are integrated within the local social service system, eight are created by joint power agreements when there are multiple counties involved, and the remaining six are non-profit agencies.

Major remarks will address the future of aging and disability policy in California, plans for achieving the goals of the Master Plan on Aging and the role of the Department of Aging in facilitating that and other goals, and an update on how AAAs across the nation are innovating to meet the needs of an aging population.

In addition, there will be a Planners Roundtable and special technical sessions on: fiscal, planning, and program, issues led by the California Department on Aging.
