Canopy Real-time Development

Canopy brings real‐time notifications to GitHub. Respond to people promptly; have real‐time conversations on pull‐requests and issues; get the job done faster and more efficiently; and—most importantly—stay on top of development.

Tapping Canopy’s notifications opens the relevant GitHub page in Safari; no more hunting through emails for the link.

Receiving notifications for activity on private GitHub repositories requires a subscription (first month free). Receiving notifications for activity on open source
(public) GitHub repositories is free.

If you are already subscribed with Canopy for macOS, your subscription will work with Canopy for iOS at no further charge.

To receive push notifications a webhook must be installed on that repository. If the repository is part of a GitHub organization, it requires installing an organization webhook. Installing the webhook can be done with the Canopy app, but requires you have admin rights (if an organization) or own the repository (if not part of an organization). If you do not have the required privileges the owner or an organization‑admin can install the webhook with or without the Canopy iOS or macOS apps. The price of the subscription is displayed in Canopy, updated at the time of purchase. The duration of the subscription is one month. Payments will be charged to App Store account after confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto‑renew is deactivated no later than 24 hours before the end of the current period. Subscriptions and auto‑renewal can be managed or deactivated in the App Store’s account settings.
