CARE for MDD

CARE for Major Depressive Disorder (CARE for MDD) is a digital therapy for adults with depressive disorder, also known as MDD or clinical depression.



Designed to be used alongside your current treatment plan, CARE for MDD is a 6-week program that delivers brain-training exercises and brief therapy lessons through your smartphone. Unlike wellness apps, CARE for MDD qualifies as a medical device and requires referral from a healthcare provider.



The exercises in CARE for MDD were developed by a team of psychologists, psychiatrists, and neuroscientists. The exercises and lessons in CARE for MDD are designed to tap into the brain's natural ability to change, known as neuroplasticity. You can think of it like physical therapy, but for your brain. Using CARE for MDD for less than 2 hours per week for 6 weeks is designed to help the brain process emotions.

Once you have an access code, you can download the app to get started. Once CARE for MDD is downloaded, the app will guide you through setting up your account.

Talk to your Healthcare Professional for additional information about MDD treatments that may be right for you.



CARE for MDD cannot send alerts or warnings to your Healthcare Professional. If you feel that your depressive symptoms are worsening or if you have feelings or thoughts of harming yourself or others, please contact your Healthcare Professional, dial 999 or go to the nearest Accident and Emergency Department immediately.
