CattleTracs is a tool to provide a new future for cattle traceability using facial recognition technology for age and source verification. Upload images of your cattle to a database where they may later be matched with subsequent photos of that same animal using facial recognition.

The CattleTracs app is designed for ease of use. It is designed to be used on properly restrained animals, such as when they are restrained in squeeze chutes for routine medical care. Just open the app and the image capture function opens automatically. Position the face of the restrained animal in the red frame and wait for the app to take the photo for you. The app uploads that image with a date stamp and GPS location showing when and where it was taken. That file will be placed in a blockchain-based database where it is secured against manipulation. The information in the files may be matched with subsequent files for that same animal using facial recognition.
