CCTV Camera

Do you have any old iPhones or iPads that you no longer use? Why not use them as a CCTV security camera to watch over your house. The CCTV Camera app will look out for any movement in the video feed and when there is will start recording until the movement has gone. Place the iOS device at a window looking out of the house. It will pick up people coming to your front door to deliver mail or packages. If an incident happens you will have video evidence of what happened. The video files are named with the date and time that they were recorded. Export or share the video via AirDrop, email, or iMessage using the standard OS sharing features.

You can now leave your CCTV camera in-situ and view the recorded videos with another iOS device. Set a password on your CCTV camera device using the cloud icon in the top left corner, then with another device on the same local network you can use the same cloud icon, type in the password, and view a list of the videos recorded on the CCTV. Tap on a video and it will download and will play. You can also share and delete any unwanted videos remotely too.

The camera does not record well in the dark.
