Chat At Me! Schools

Educational app for grades Pre-Kindergarten-12th grade


Chat At Me! Schools was developed to help mitigate the educational disparity experienced by students when their studies are beyond a parent’s ability to help. Additionally, if remote learning becomes necessary for any students, this resource can ease the isolation and mental stress they may experience during this time.


Teachers and students can communicate via live video, stored recordings, document sharing, and messaging for instructional and emotional support. Teachers can post lesson plans and record instructional or inspirational videos. Parents and students can ask text and video questions in their classroom groups where the teacher and other class members can assist. Users can chat and share documents in their classroom group, custom created groups and individually with each other for additional educational support or encouragement without time or language constraints.


Features:

– Teachers can record an unlimited number of videos (up to 1GB per recording)


– Parents can enroll multiple students in one or more schools. Registered students are placed into their teacher’s classroom page where teachers can record lesson plans, homework help or inspirational videos for their students to view


– Parents and students can also post video or text questions for either the teacher or other parents to answer for the group to view.

– Parents can also create smaller groups or chat individually with each other for educational support and encouragement to help alleviate the isolation many families experience.

– Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade students can access Storyline Online® directly from the app. Storyline Online (created by the SAG-AFTRA non-profit foundation) has numerous videos of children’s’ books being read by actors and TV personalities. The Storyline Online® books also have additional resources created by credentialed educators to help English-language learners.

– Communication can be in real time or when convenient for all users as notifications are sent each time you make a post or a comment is made.

– Parents and teachers can use an iPad, mobile device or a computer to record videos and send chat messages.

– Schools requiring IEPs, Chat At Me! Schools can be used to provide additional resources directly to those students.

After a district enrolls, Chat At Me! schools is free for all principals, teachers and parent/students.
