The “CHECK-AT” app is your digital support to ensure the uncomplicated verification of the new Austrian identity card. Use the app to easily and securely check the QR code and other security features on the latest generation of Austrian ID cards.

Straightforward verification – without any specialised technical knowledge:
In addition to the convenient QR code check, the “CHECK-AT” app also supports you step by step in checking individual security features on the new Austrian ID card. With the “CHECK-AT” app, you can check the digital and physical security features of the latest generation of ID cards in detail using specific examples – without any special technical knowledge.

Local check without retrieving personal data from the Internet:
When checking the QR code, the information contained in the QR code is only displayed on the verifying device.
The relevant information is contained directly in the QR code and is not retrieved from a database.
The app connects to the Internet during the start-up process to check the availability of new certificates. These certificates are needed for the correct and secure verification of the QR code. If new certificates are available, the app automatically downloads them to the device being used. Furthermore, the app does not connect to the Internet at any time. No personal data is retrieved from the Internet or uploaded to the Internet.
