What is it about?

The ChemFormulas app provides hundreds of opportunities to name or write inorganic formulas. Immediate feedback is provided with every formula. Access to the correct formula or name is a finger touch away in the form of an animated explanation. The simplicity of the interface allows the user to focus on chemistry. Mastery of assembling or naming inorganic chemical formulas occurs in the shortest possible time. Finding oxidation numbers for inorganic compounds is included. View animations of app operation and access additional resources at chemistryapp.org. This app runs on IOS 6 and 7 for iPhone, iPod and iPad. This method of learning or teaching inorganic chemical formulas has been successfully demonstrated on classroom computers over a ten-year period all over the US. This is our first app to go mobile. Learning how to balance chemical equations as well as other apps to follow.
