Chinese for Youth 2 Self-Study

The Chinese for Youth App is designed for learners as a useful Chinese learning material. It is the digital version of the Chinese for Youth series, a basic Mandarin Chinese language program for young people. The main aim of this series is to enable learners to attain basic language skills for communication in the interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational modes, as specified in the National Standards for Foreign Language Learning. The language materials are presented in cultural contexts that introduce special features of Chinese lifestyles, values, and beliefs.

The Far East Chinese for Youth App (Self-Study) enables learners to boost their Chinese language skills. A few simple clicks allow learners to listen to the audio conversations and its vocabulary pronunciation. An index function is also provided so that learners can find all expressions in the book by typing in English, pinyin or Chinese. Various types of Learning Tasks provide learners with further opportunities to practice speaking, listening and writing Chinese.
