REGIONAL PLAN 2021 has an aim to create a ‘more vibrant and prosperous Goa’ while at the same time preserving Goa’s fragile ecosystem. The planning was strategised to enhance public transport, ensure a balanced distribution of the population and sustainable growth.

Goa’s REGIONAL PLAN 2021 sets out the broad land use of 2 districts, 12 talukas, 14 municipal councils, 56 census towns and 320 villages. It was notified vide no.29/8/TCP/2008/RP-21/PT/3743, Series III and was open to public suggestions and objections. Over 8500 individual comments were received in addition to comments from 176 Village Panchayats and 8 Municipal Councils.

The Town and Country Planning Board in its 133rd meeting held on 29-9-2008 considered and approved Regional Plan for Goa 2021.

Citizen’s Map Portal is an application that overlays the Regional Plan 2021 on Google Maps and provides a platform for easy access of this public document.
