How do we prepare our kids for the future? How can we teach them to adapt to the rapidly changing face of technology? How do we handle evolving programming languages, artificial intelligence, and algorithms?
We have joined experienced programmers and the expertise from the team at St. John Neumann, one of the leading schools in Georgia, to create an app that uses a concept based curriculum to help teach kids as early as kindergarten, how to write code.
Introducing Odie, the Object. A fun character created to help introduce concepts behind object oriented programming and many other languages. Concepts like breaking tasks into smaller steps, Variables, Boolean operators, Comparative operators, “X ,Y” coordinates, and Arrays.
Each concept is explained in a short, animated video as well as in the introduction video to the practice section. The practice programs and lessons are designed to incorporate the vocabulary used in coding while teaching the concepts in a fun, non-intimidating way. There is even a section for parents and teachers that give suggestions of how to further teach these concepts outside of using the app.
Give your kids a head start in navigating the future. Learning programming concepts can enhance critical thinking skills as well as improve understanding of mathematics. Download this app today to help give your kids an edge they will use for years to come.
