ColdSpotting

With ColdSpotting, you can:
Visualize the strength of your network across time and space.
Find deadspots where your reception isn't well covered and maximize reception.
Diagnose poor or intermittant network performance.
Perform site surveys to ensure high-reliability.
Test connections using real-world devices.
Compare coverage across manufactures and product lines.

How it works:
We use ARKit, the Augmented Reality framework, provided by Apple, and optimized for their specific iOS hardware. When you tap the screen we take a snapshot of the Wireless Signal Strength at a specific location and draw a virtual box into the scene that is color coded to represent the relative strength of the Wifi in that exact spot(Green is Better, Red is Worse). By moving within a space, you can take samples at different spots to create a map of your network in 3-Dimensional space.

App Instructions:
Simply Tap your screen to test Strength in a specific location. A Box will appear at that location indicating the strength of your Wifi signal by it's color(Green is Better, Red is worse Black is no reply). By moving around and repeatedly placing multiple points in an area, you can diagnose Cold Spots in your coverage.
